Flame Moon by KJ JAckson

Note: I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I really was intrigued first of all by the cover. Even though it is simple, the color really makes it pop and stand out to an eye that is scrolling through on the screen. The concept of a different take on gods and goddesses was excellent, unique, and inventive.

Skye was a great strong-willed character. I liked how she had her own ideas that she was not afraid to express, especially to Aiden, who most people were afraid of. I also liked that she always seemed positive even when she was thrown into the impossible situation of good versus evil and the fight between them and also not being able to remember who she was. Aiden seemed distant to me and not a completely developed character. I think the author was going for a little aloof and mysterious, a hero with a troubled past but I just got blah from him. Nothing about him really excited me, he was kind of just there. I had a some issues with the sex scenes. I could definitely read the chemistry there but it seemed forced. The whole relationship between Skye and Aiden was just not working for me.
