Confession to Death

It was my first confession of love.

Right out in the open in front of hundred of people.

Embarrassed but strong I look straight into the camera,

Daring anyone to say anything against my confession.

I do not want to look behind me though,

What is she thinking?

Has what I said even registered in her mind yet?

At least now this will give her an edge,

it will help her out in the long run.

Two star-crossed lovers destined to fight to the death.  Taking a deep breath I fight back the tears as I realize I am going to loose her soon.

Inspired by Peeta’s confession of love for Katiss in Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games.
