My Fear Doesn’t End

Your face is reflected in my dreams

Dreams that have become nightmares

You are waiting for me

Waiting to destroy my body

I tremble in terror, as I can’t escape you

Though I have tried do many times.

Your face is haunting me

I wish it would just leave

I need to be at peace once more

I wish this constant fear would embed

That I would not be afraid to be alone

Afraid of the dark corners of the room

Where you might be lurking still

The night comes when darkness draws near

You are once again terrorizing me

Capturing me, and drinking in my fear

I want to erase your face from my mind

The face that is burned into my mind

Like a thousand scars
