Forgotten

All alone I sit and wait the darkness seems to consume me.

Feelings of emptiness and bitterness seem to take hold of me quickly.

A pale moon light shows through the rocks

and illuminates the empty shell that is me.

Sitting on a jagged rock filled with hate

looking down at my reflection.

He had betrayed me.

My translucent wings lay still against the night,

I don’t think I will ever take flight again.

Just sitting here to think,

he has forgotten me again.
