Fate of Death

They were fated to meet each other and fated to die.

He saw her across the courtyard,

Star-crossed lovers in the making.

A blush on her cheeks

As the wind whipped her hair back from her faced.

She was leaning over a cascading fountain

Reaching for the lilac bloom surrounded by rose petals.

She was different from all of the roses in the overcrowded ballroom.

She was a lilac in the first bloom.

It seemed to be love at first sight.

Her knight in shinning armor was standing just above her

Looking down at her.

They were made for each other from the start

But fated to die because of their own hearts.

Inspired by the first episode of Romeo X Juliet.
