A Different Life

I woke up one morning when my life started anew.

There was something different about my appearance,

And my hopes for the future too.

I was in a different time, a different life.

I wasn’t myself, but somehow it felt right.

I had traveled into the past, with a different smile.

Looking into the mirror, it felt right

Nothing like I remembered my life to be

But this one I thought I would like to try

I wanted to try to be free.
