Not My Last

Falling through the windows,

Exposing myself to the world.

I wait for silence,

And the temporary grows.

I ask for nothing,

Nothing but to live my life

Away from suffering

And all consuming strife.

Can’t you see . . .

What this world has done to me?

Revolving doorways and temporary winds.

Alighted feelings and monographic skin.

How can I tell you . . .

What I’m really feeling?

Today I saw you and my world flew out the door.

My head is reeling and I can’t take anymore.

Can someone help me?

I don’t want to repeat the past.

This place I left before,

I don’t want it to be my last.
