Night Embrace

I can control the weather

But I can’t control the way I feel

I know I should leave her

Yet I don’t want to leave her smile

My emotions run wild

And I lose my power

I can’t let this happen to me

I have to protect her

Her image lingers in the corner

And I feel light on her skin

I will lose her like I lost me sister

I can’t let that happen again

These feelings are to strong to hide from

And I am going to end up hurting her in the end

I am not like normal men

I am a cursed being

Doomed to walk the night

And not good enough for her

I don’t know if I will ever be good enough for her.

Inspired by the novel ‘Night Embrace’ by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
