Sunset Embrace

I made a grave mistake.

I let a part of me die.

I was supposed to die on that day

Yet somehow I was saved.

I was taken in,

Given new hope.

For a while I still wanted to die

I felt filthy,

I felt wrong.

Yet I had to take on a part of someone else

She had died that fateful day.

The day when I was supposed to.

She shouldn’t have,

It should have been me

She unknowingly saved my life.

I had to take care of what she left behind

She gave me a hope for the future

She gave me her life.

I now had a reason to go on.

I actualy had two.
