Endless Life

Nothing could happen

She couldn’t take her own life

But she didn’t want to live it

There was nothing there for her

Nothing left

She had nothing to live for

She was all alone

Trapped in her own world

In a fantasy
with endless dreams

That would never transpire

In hopes that would never be fulfilled

In wishes that would never come true

She was all alone

No one cared

Though she hoped one day someone would

But in her heart

She knew….

She was back in her own little world

One Response to “Endless Life”

  1. Your poem captures that loneliness which makes you feel like you’re in a personal prison….well said.
